New Professional MBA Program
The College of Business, in partnership with Continuing Education and Shasta College, offers a Professional MBA program in Redding and Chico. This program, launched in August 2004, meets the needs of working professionals in the region by providing convenient access to an internationally accredited program.
The Greening of CSU, Chico
CSU, Chico is assuming an environmental leadership role within the CSU, and the goal is to engage everyone on campus. Mark Stemen, coordinator of Environmental Studies, and Jim Pushnik, the Rawlins Professor of Environmental Literacy, are leaders in the effort. The goal is to prepare students to deal with a threatened world environment. As a first step, a new general education course in environmental literacy was created. Chico has the distinction of
- registering the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building in the CSU system, with the Student Services building currently under construction; and
- completing a campus sustainability assessment, “Decisions for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” with the help of students in environmental studies classes as the primary data gatherers.
In March 2005, students qualified an advisory measure for the student ballot to ask for a commitment to energy efficiency, green buildings, and renewable energy at CSU, Chico. PAGES: 1 | 2 | 3
