Toward a Curriculum in Sustainability and the Environment
In May 2005, as CSU, Chico’s Rawlins Professor of Environment-al Literacy, Jim Pushnik was one of 19 educators selected from 14 different nations as a representative to the first Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS) Educators Seminar on Teaching Sustainability (ESTS) Conference in Braunwald, Switzerland. This conference was convened as an initial AGS event spurred by the United Nation’s declaration of 2005–2014 as the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
Students Film Documentary in Northern Ireland
Fifteen students from Chico travelled to Belfast this summer to investigate the causes of conflict and prospects for peace. They were there on July 28, when the IRA announced that their armed campaign was over.
