As The New World Turns
Looking for Myanmar, Azerbaijan, or Belarus? You wouldn’t have found
them on the old globes in Meriam Library. Thanks to one-time money provided
by President Paul Zingg, Provost Scott McNall, and Vice Provost Bill Post,
the library has replaced four globes from the Cold War era. The new globes
can be found on the first floor in Limited Loan/Reserve, on the second
floor outside Current Periodicals, on the third floor by the administration
offices, and on the fourth floor in the Map/Atlas section. One older globe
has been retained for historic purposes. We have also replaced 30 unabridged
dictionaries, many of which were literally falling apart. They are located
throughout the library for your convenience.
