Briefly NotedNew Nature Trail Guide for Big Chico Creek ReserveThose wanting to explore the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve (BCCER) can now find a self-guided nature trail online. The guide includes information on geology, wildlife, vegetation, habitats, and ecosystems along the 0.7-mile nature trail. For more information, go to the BCCER Web site, www.csuchico.edu/bccer/index.htm, and click on “Public Use.” The trail guide and use guidelines are found under “Nature Observation.” Solid Gold Ballroom Dance NightDance to the music of swing, salsa, waltz, tango, and more at this spring’s ballroom dance night, “Solid Gold.” “This event caters to around 500 students, faculty, and staff during the evening and is an activity that students can do that does not involve alcohol,” said Patricia Smiley, Kinesiology, dance director. Solid Gold is Wednesday, May 2, in Shurmer Gym, 7–10 pm. This event, sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and Recreation Sports, will be $5 at the door. Call x6120 for more information. A.S. by A.S., most of them behind the scenes and not known by the general public.
The show will be displayed in Common Grounds (in the BMU) for the entire month
of April, coinciding with the Earth Month activities.
