Dance to the music of swing, salsa, waltz, tango, and more at this spring’s ballroom dance night, “Solid Gold.” “This event caters to around 500 students, faculty, and staff during the evening and is an activity that students can do that does not involve alcohol,” said Patricia Smiley, Kinesiology, dance director. Solid Gold is Wednesday, May 2, in Shurmer Gym, 7–10 pm. This event, sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and Recreation Sports, will be $5 at the door. Call x6120 for more information.

A.S. Sustainability Showcase

The Associated Students Sustainability Showcase is designed to educate the Chico community about the practical sustainability efforts that are being made by A.S., most of them behind the scenes and not known by the general public. The show will be displayed in Common Grounds (in the BMU) for the entire month of April, coinciding with the Earth Month activities.
