Briefly NotedKCSC NOMINATED FOR NATIONAL AWARDKCSC was nominated for the best student-run, Internet-only radio station by the CMJ Network, a company that links music fans and music industry professionals to new music. The nomination was determined by the collective polling of several hundred music industry members. The winner will be announced during the CMJ Music Marathon industry event on Oct. 18. SUSTAINABILITY STREAMING VIDEO COLLECTIONBob Britton, professor emeritus, has put together a collection for students, faculty, and staff of video resources relating to sustainability. There are speeches from major figures such as Paul Hawken and Daniel Quinn; illustrations of the problems and opportunities in areas such as oil, food production, and public financing of elections; and more. EARC, AS RECYCLING, AND AS SUSTAINABILITY JOIN FORCES The Environmental Action and Resource Center, AS Recycling, and AS Sustainability are now in one location, BMU 301. The new location, called the 3-in-1 Collaborative, will provide more opportunities for resource pooling and cooperation between the three environmental outreach programs.
