Student Bring Music to Enloe

The College of Humanities and Fine Arts began a partnership with Enloe Medical Center this semester aimed at helping the hospital launch its Planetree patient care model. The music department has received a $3,000 award from the hospital to bring music to its patients. Music students, along with Keith Seppanen, Music, have helped develop a performance calendar with shows at four Enloe venues.

Library Staff Member a Hero for Animals

Kathleen Purvis, Library Building Management/Student Personnel, was recognized as a Hero for Animals Oct. 9 by the Butte Humane Society for establishing WeCAP, We Care Animal Program of Butte Meadows. WeCAP is a donation-funded program to spay or neuter feral cats and vaccinate them for rabies before releasing them back into Butte Meadows.

Needy Childrens Programs Annual Drawing

University employees have until Nov. 10 to help a local family this holiday season by buying tickets to the Needy Children Program’s opportunity drawing. All money collected will go toward grocery certificates and children’s gifts for Butte County families in need. Tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, or 15 for $10 and available through your Staff Council representative or the Staff Council office, x6156.
