Herbarium Open House

The Chico State Herbarium will open their doors to campus and community on May 15, noon-4 pm. At the open house, the submissions to a plant photography contest for local high school students will be on display, and the contest winners will be announced. The contest is sponsored by the Gateway Science Museum and Friends of the Chico State Herbarium.

University Police Department Staff Recognized

The UPD has honored Yasmin Caro, Marci McIntire, and Detective Corinne Beck as Community Service Officer, Dispatcher, and Peace Officer of the Year, respectively. The UPD awards are based on input and recommendations from the honorees’ colleagues within the police department.

Top Prize in Bass Fishing

The Chico State Bass Club won the $10,000 top prize at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Western Division Tournament on Arizona’s Lake Roosevelt April 18. Student team members Matt Dixon and Spencer Moran caught six fish weighing 15 pounds. Winnings are split between the University and the club.
