Gateway Science Museum Gets New Acting Director

Professor Rachel Teasdale, Geological and Environmental Sciences, accepted the position of acting executive director of the Gateway Science Museum in July. She steps in for Executive Director Greg Liggett, who is taking a medical leave of absence. The museum’s opening has been delayed. Selected programmatic events begin this fall.

Diversion Excursion Ups Its Total

In 2009, Diversion Excursion diverted 18,837 pounds of recyclable and reusable goods, up from 17,595 pounds last year. Nearly 160 volunteers signed up to work 10 collection tables.
