Forensic Scientists and Students Assist in San Bruno Fire Recovery
On Sunday, Sept. 12, forensic anthropology faculty took a team of students to the site of the Sept. 9 San Bruno explosions and fires. Forensic scientists Eric Bartelink, Colleen Milligan, and Turhon Murad took 13 students to assist with the fire scene recovery.

Fútbol in Spain: More than a Game
In the spring 2010 semester, nine CSU, Chico students traveled to Spain to shoot footage and interview futbol players, coaches and other significant people for a documentary about the intense rivalry between Real Madrid and Futbol Club (FC) in Barcelona. Kelly Candaele, an alum and award-winning filmmaker, put together the project with the help of alum Cathy Growdon.

Lessons from Bangalore
Nandi Crosby, professor of Sociology and of Multicultural and Gender Studies, traveled to Bangalore, India, for a month this past summer. She taught a Sociology of Gender course with the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC), with classes held at Christ University in Bangalore. When Crosby wasn’t teaching, she was spending much of her free time with local women and their families.
