Staff Scholarship Award Supports Career Goals

Jody Banks has been selected to receive the $250 Staff Scholarship for spring 2000. She received the award at the February Staff Council meeting.

Banks is a full-time employee in the Development Office of the College of Agriculture.She has returned to college to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology. She intends to continue her education to obtain a counseling credential and then become a high school guidance counselor.

Banks said that she learned from raising three children about the time and energy it takes to help them develop direction in life. The enjoyment she receives working with agriculture students reinforced her career choice. She looks forward to work in which she can encourage young people to reach their full potential. (photo CL)
