Milk-off at the OK CorralOn Ag Day, March 15 , Byron Jackson, vice provost for Academic Affairs, and Charlie Crabb, dean of the School of Agriculture, faced off in a milking contest. The picture tells the story: Jackson, in a 10-gallon hat, admitted he'd never touched a cow's teats and brought a can of bag balm and a plastic milking stool. Crabb, who sported a baseball cap, brought a milking machine. He relinquished it in the spirit of a fair fight. Crabb won hands down and cup up. It was part of a day that included a milk-chugging contest, talks by James Pushnik, Chemistry, and Cindy Daley, Agriculture, on biotechnology, and a multitude of information booths and educational activities for the more than 700 school children who visited campus that day.
