Psychology professor Ed Abramson was quoted in a March 29 Los Angeles Times article about snack foods and personality. Abramson criticized research about personality types based on snack food choices.
History professor Charles Geshekter was mentioned in a March 19 New York Times article and on April 3 San Francisco Chronicle article regarding South African President Thabo Mbeki's seeking input about the causes of AIDS. Geshekter assisted a Bay Area biochemist in preparing a response to Mbeki.
Political science assistant professor Sharon Barrios wrote an op-ed article in the March 31 Los Angeles Times and the April 5 Vancouver Columbian about misunderstandings concerning the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Interim Financial Aid director Annette Edwards was quoted in an April 3 San Jose Mercury News article about a CSU, Chico student's unsuccessful attempt to obtain an American Express card.
