Admissions Printing Award

A CSU, Chico Admissions mailing piece received a 1999 International 25th Gallery of Superb Printing Silver Award. The award was for superb crafting.

Wendy Needels, Admissions, was in charge of producing the piece, which went out to 25,000 high school seniors. She worked with State Printers in Sacramento on the design.

Needels was especially pleased with the high response rate, which she attributes, in large part, to the design, beginning with its eye-catching eight-inch square size. "It is always nice when a printed piece receives this kind of recognition in the industry, and it was also very successful in the recruitment of prospective students," said Needels. -- KM
