Louis Bilicich (Industrial Technology, 1978) has es-tablished a scholarship to honor his former professor, Ray Rummell, by donating $32,000 to be used as an endowment to fund scholarships for manufacturing technology students in the Ray Rummell Manufacturing Technology Scholarship Fund.
The Cottrell Family Teaching Scholarship will award two $500 scholarships to teaching credential students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Established by Robert Cottrell, History, and Susan Cottrell, Financial Services, the scholarship will help future teachers reach their goals.
George Benson, emeritus faculty member in communication, recently passed away, and his wife, Betty, and their son, Hal, have established a scholarship in his honor. Members of the community, family, and former students have made donations to the George Benson Memorial Scholarship to benefit worthy students who major in communication design, with an option in media arts. Junior or senior students with a minimum GPA of 3.75 and a letter of recommendation from communication design faculty are eligible to apply.
Maxim Integrated Products has established two scholarships, with a commitment of $36,000 each year for the next four years. The Maxim Undergraduate Scholarships will award two $8,000 scholarships each year to recruit and retain student athletes majoring in electrical engineering. Student applicants must be members of a varsity team at CSU, Chico, among other criteria. The Maxim Graduate Scholarships will award four $5,000 scholarships to students wishing to obtain a master's degree in electrical engineering. Students must have at least a 3.25 GPA upon entering the graduate program, or a 3.5 GPA if they are continuing graduate students.
