Help Needed to Scour and Devour
You are invited to join the approximately 500 students, staff, and faculty on Saturday, April 21, to clean up the campus and nearby community areas. The Scour and Devour will begin with registration at 9 am on the Kendall Hall lawn. Early birds get T-shirts.
Volunteers will be divided into teams and sent out to specific areas of the campus, the north and south campus neighborhoods, downtown Chico, and Nord Avenue near Safeway.
At noon, they will return to the Kendall Hall lawn and receive a free tri-tip barbecue lunch.
More than 20 campus and community organizations are involved in organizing the clean-up event. Local businesses have joined the A.S. Revenue Allocation Committee in funding the event.
Volunteers are still needed and can sign up through supporting groups or by contacting Linda Gatton, University Advancement and Student Affairs, in Kendall 107, at 898-6131 or through e-mail at lgatton@csuchico.edu.
