Pamela Johnson, Management, received the Academy of Educational Leadership Teaching award at the Allied Academies of Management international conference in April. Pamela Johnson and Susan Gardner, Management, received the 2001 Highly Commended Award for Excellence from the editor and editorial advisory board members of MCB University Press for their Domestic Violence in the Workplace: Strategies for the Global Business Community, published in Women in Management Review in 2000. Ira Latour, professor emeritus, Art and Art History, had his photographs Self with 1945 Ansel Adams Portrait and Kicking Horse Edward Buie included in the Elder Arts Celebrations exhibition at the San Francisco Art Institute in August. The photographs will be on display in San Francisco State Universitys Crucible Steel Gallery from October 16 to November 4. Paul Lopez, Sociology, was offered a 2001-2002 fellowship by the Chicano Studies Center at UC Santa Barbara for his work on the bracero dynamics. Bill McGinnis, Business and Finance, presented Measuring Quality in Community Colleges at the annual conference of the California Community College Trustees in June. He was elected vice president of the California Community College Trustees Association and appointed to the board of directors of the Community College League of California. \ Ray Watkins, Agricultural Teaching and Research Center, is chair of the 21st annual national Farm City Celebration that runs the first three weeks of November. |
