A Day of Prayer and Remembrance

A few of the almost 2,000 people who attended the noon memorial service on Friday, September 14, sit solemnly as Donald Heinz delivers a “Prayer for America.” A long line of speakers waited to take the open mike and express a variety of thoughts, almost all tinged with grief and compassion for the victims of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the airplane crash in Pennsylvania.
