CSU, Chico’s Department of Music presents Glorious Sounds of the Season! to remind us of the joy and beauty of the holidays. Hearing “Hallelujah” from Handel’s The Messiah or the classic “Sleigh Ride” may help us find our holiday spirit in this season which may be unlike any season before it.
Highlights include university organist David Rothe on the Centennial Pipe Organ, the Wind Ensemble and Flute Ensemble, cellist Jia-Mo Chen, a handbell ensemble, the Low Brass Choir, and wind instrumentalists Kyle Wiley Pickett and Heidi Pintner. Ying Yeh, Liang Zhang, and a student barbershop quartet will also perform.
Glorious Sounds of the Season! is an annual fundraiser for music department scholarships. Last year’s concert was nearly sold out. The concert takes place Dec. 7 and 8 at 7:30 pm and Dec. 9 at 2 pm in Harlen Adams Theatre. See calendar for ticket information.
