Political science professor George Wright was quoted in the Oct. 9 Christian Science Monitor and Oct. 14 Chronicle of Higher Education regarding his public comments about the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 and the subsequent reaction he received.

Political science professor Beau Grosscup, author of The Newest Explosions of Terrorism, has been featured in numerous national media accounts in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks. Regionally, he has been quoted in articles in the Oct. 8 and Nov. 1 issues of the Sacramento Bee.

Center for Economic Development director Dan Ripke was quoted in the Oct. 20 New York Times and the Sept. 7 San Francisco Chronicle about plans to market Northern California counties as “Upstate” California.

Steven Shive, Health and Community Services, was interviewed for an article in Reuters Health during the 129th Annual American Public Health Association Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The article, “Many Kids Who Smoke Get Cigarettes From Adults,” can be found at the following Web address: dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20011023/hl/smoking_11.html.

Political science professor Ed Bronson was featured in Aug. 14 and Sept. 3 stories in the San Francisco Chronicle about his testimony regarding a change-of-venue motion in a well-publicized dog-mauling case. Bronson is a frequent expert witness called to discuss change of venue.

Communication professor Sam Edelman was featured in a Sept. 15 Paradise Post article about the terrorist attacks and Osama bin Laden.

English chair Lynn Elliot is featured in a travel column about Chico in the Sept. 29 Fairfield Republic.

MESA Engineering Program director Paul Villegas is quoted in a story about MEP in the fall 2001 issue of Minority Americans in Engineering and Science magazine.

Political science professor Dane Cameron is quoted in a story in the fall 2001 issue of Pre-Law Insider about CSU, Chico’s pre-law program.}
