Economics professor David Gallo and the Center for Economic Development were featured in an Aug. 7 Siskiyou Daily News article about their study of the feasibility of geothermal power in Siskiyou County.
Colleen Phipps, A.S. Food Service production manager, was quoted in an Aug. 8 Redding Record-Searchlight story about weight gain among freshmen college students.
Warren Jensen, economic studies program manager at the Center for Economic Development, was quoted in an Aug. 12 Ventura County Star article comparing the new CSU, Channel Islands campus to CSU, Chico in terms of potential economic impact.
Shauna Quinn, CADEC program coordinator, was quoted in an Aug. 25 San Francisco Chronicle story about progress being made to curtail student alcohol abuse.
Anthropology professor Charlie Urbanowicz was interviewed on Aug. 29 about Charles Darwin for a BBC show titled Curious Questions Answered.
Michael Marchetti, Biological Sciences professor, had his research on the effects of hatchery rearing on brain structures of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, featured recently on the nationally syndicated radio program Earth and Sky, which can be heard at http://www.earthsky.com/2002/es020828.html.
