In The News

Religious studies professor Sarah Pike was featured in an Aug. 30 Associated Press story about her research on the Burning Man Festival in Nevada.

Political science professor emeritus Ed Bronson was featured in Redding Record Searchlight stories on Sept. 7 and 19 about two high-profile area court cases in which Bronson was called as an expert witness. Bronson frequently testifies as a change-of-venue expert.

Communication arts and sciences professor Sam Edelman is featured in the four-part PBS documentary series, The Genocide Factor: The Human Tragedy, which first aired locally on KIXE Nov. 14. Edelman was also profiled in the Oct. 25 Jewish Bulletin newspaper based in San Francisco. He is director of CSU, Chico's Modern Jewish and Israel Studies program.

Anthropology professor P. Willey was featured on a Nov. 6 Discovery Channel program Custer's Last Stand. A forensic anthropologist, Willey has studied bones from the Battle of Little Bighorn site and has appeared on several national programs on the subject.

Agriculture professor Wes Patton was featured in an Oct. 22 Valley Post (Shasta County) article about Katahdin sheep. Patton has raised the rare Katahdin breed locally.
