and the Palestinian People
Rosemary Radford Ruether, professor of feminist theology, and Herman
J. Ruether, an independent scholar, will present a lecture on recent events
in the Middle East, “Israel and the Palestinian People: Historical
Context, Present Threats” Thursday, April 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Harlen
Adams Theatre in the Performing Arts Center at CSU, Chico. A reception
will follow in the Humanities Center, Trinity Hall 100. This event is

and the causes and consequences of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict for
more than three decades. In addition to her foundational work in feminist
and environmental theology, R. R. Ruether has published Faith and Fratricide:
The Theological Roots of Anti-Semitism (1974). H. J. Ruether has studied
Hinduism, Islam, and inter-sectarian dynamics in South Asia and the Middle
East.

Church (285 E. 5th Street) on Saturday, April 12, 9:00-11 a.m. Coffee
and pastries will be served.
