Astronaut to Chico

Astronaut Scott Carpenter, prime pilot on the Mercury, the United States’ second attempt to put a man into orbit around the Earth in 1961, is coming to Chico. He will deliver the Presidential Lecture, “Dawn of the Space Age and Beyond,” on April 22, 7:30 pm, Harlen Adams Theatre. Admission is free, but tickets are required.
