Jazz It Up With X-Press

Jazz X-Press welcomes the trumpet sounds of jazz artist Greg Gisbert for their concert on Nov. 1 at 7:30 pm in Harlen Adams Theatre. "Without a doubt, Greg Gisbert is one of those jazz musicians leading the pack and pushing the musical envelope," said Rocky Winslow, conductor of Jazz X-Press and director of jazz studies.

Gisbert and the X-Press will perform the music of jazz composer and conductor Maria Schneider, a "major composer" and the "most important woman in jazz," according to Time magazine. Her work has been performed all over the world, including Carnegie Hall.
