Memory & Landscape: Selected Works from the Paul J. Zingg
and Candace Slater Collection
The University Art Gallery presents contemporary artworks from
the private collection of Paul J. Zingg, CSU, Chico president, and
Candace Slater, professor in the humanities and director of the
Townsend Center for the Humanities at UC Berkeley. Zingg is an enthusiastic
collector of modern art, with a particular interest in California
artists. The exhibition features pieces by internationally renowned
artists Anne Appleby, Christopher Brown, Richard Diebenkorn, Manfred
Müller, Ed Ruscha, and Wayne Thiebaud. The University Art Gallery
is located in Taylor Hall. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday,
10 am–4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, noon–4 pm.
