Loren Lybarger, whose emphasis is on Islam, presented a short history of Palestine from a Palestinian viewpoint in his anthropology forum presentation about what might be next for Palestinians after Yasser Arafat's death.

Animation Project
A CSU, Chico animation project wins top honors again in the statewide CSU Media Arts Festival. The director of the festival said that animators from some of the biggest companies in the world are beginning to notice that Chico is a powerhouse for animation.



Nutrition Consortium Receives $5 Million
The Sierra Cascade Nutrition Consortium receives $5 million to spread the message of healthy life-long eating and physical activity to families in Northern California.
