Biology Honor Society Adopt-a-Student Day
Omicron Theta Epsilon, the biological sciences honor society founded by Vesta Holt in the 1930s, sponsored Adopt-a-Student Day, October 22, in which several Bidwell Junior High students were taken through a day of activities, including breakfast and lab demonstrations. Here Gina Gonzales, Tom Bryant, Catherine Juarez, and Kim Jones dissect a cat in an animal anatomy lesson in Biology professor Mike Urpino’s class. The event happens once each semester and is a good way to connect CSU, Chico student volunteers and community kids. (photo DA)
