Electric Car Needs Funds to Tour

Steve Sanchez, a senior in Mechanical Engineering and co-director of the Advanced Vehicle Research and Development project, and Tim Wolfe, a Mechatronics major and director of the AVRD, look under the hood of the electric car they hope to take to New York to the Tour de Sol. The Chico AVRD has brought back awards in the past, and the project affords immeasurable engineering and public relations experience to students. The group is in the process of fund raising so that they can take the car to New York in May.
