Psychology Professor Ed Abramson, whose book Emotional Eating: A Practical Guide to Taking Control recently came out in paperback, was quoted in an article on eating and self-control in the September 1997 issue of Fitness magazine. He also has been interviewed for a story on a related subject for the June 1998 issue of Cosmopolitan.

Journalism Professor Dave Waddell was quoted in the Redding Record-Searchlight December 18 about the University being mentioned on the "King of the Hill" TV show.

The Rural Venture Capital Network was profiled in the Sacramento Bee January 29 and Wall Street Journal January 28. The network is affiliated with CSU Chico.

Bill Lerch, director of the Office of Experiential Education, was quoted in a column about job-seeking in the San Francisco Examiner February 1.

History Professor Robert Cottrell, who is working on a book about Roger Nash Baldwin, was profiled in the Enterprise-Record February 2.

Anthropology Professor Charles Urbanowitz' study of early Native American culture was the subject of a story in the Enterprise-Record February 10.

Amy Boles, who has worked in the president's office since 1974, was the subject a short profile in the Enterprise-Record February 19.
