Chico Unified School District Honored
with Community Appreciation Award


District Superintendent Rob Barbot, expresses his appreciation on behalf of CUSD after receiving the Community Appreciation Award from President Esteban. Esteban remarked, "No one entity could more closely meet the criterion of having a positive impact on the faculty, staff, and students of CSU, Chico than Chico Unified School
District. Our common commitment to a high-quality education for the youth of Chico is underscored by our multiple points of interaction." Esteban went on to describe the many cooperative ventures of the University and the district, including student teacher preparation, the teacher professional education, the CUSD teachers and administrators who serve in advisory capacities to campus programs, the Subject Matter projects in which teachers are both learners and leaders, and cooperation on grants.
