CSU, Chico honored state agencies in Sacramento on April 3, as the Instructional Media Center hosted a Client Appreciation Luncheon and awards ceremony. A unit of the Chancellor's Office, The CSU Institute helped to sponsor the event.
Twelve state agencies including Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Health Services, Department of Justice, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal attended.
Guests were shown a video presentation of clips from selected programs, and the thirty-one individuals being honored received plaques for their contributions to the improvement of video training and public information programs for employees and citizens of California.
A survey of future trends helped assess what types of computer-based training and information needs these agencies might have in the future.
Larry Schmunk, Assistant Director of IMC, also thanked the participants on behalf of the many IMC student interns who have worked on these projects over the years. He said this kind of experience gives students an invaluable "real-world" experience which makes them very competitive in the job market.
The event was organized by Donna Crowe and Dan Carter, IMC staff producers/directors.
