CSU, Chico's Theatre Department presents The
Women, a classic American satire written by Clare Boothe Luce, directed by
Randy Wonzong. Set in the 1930s, The Women is complete with
furs, diamonds, and lots of back-stabbing and man-stealing.
Pictured above, the Countess (Marilyn Curtis) gossips with Peggie
(Cara Granger). To the right, Silvia (Miranda Jonte) and Crystal
(Nicole Carbone) rival over one man. "These women do things that make
you laugh at them, but in between the laughter are the poignant
moments," Wonzong said. The Women challenges today's audience
to mark the progress of emancipation. See calendar for details.
