| Clarence Mahler |
Mahler taught at Chico State in the Psychology Department for thirty years. During his tenure, he was chair of the department, associate dean of counseling, and a counselor at the counseling center.
His expertise was in the area of group counseling in schools. He led a program of group counseling for clergy in Northern California for ten years. In addition to his teaching and counseling on campus, Mahler lectured and taught courses at numerous universities in the U.S., Canada, London, and Tokyo.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, three children, three step-childen, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
