Beverly Ford, Faculty and Staff Assistance, and Marvin Megibow, Psychology, co-presented a paper, "Factors Influencing Organizational Commitment among Academic and Nonacademic University Administrative Personnel," at the 24th International Congress of Applied Psychology in San Francisco, August 1998.
Weikun Cheng, History, presented "Occupying a Public Domain: Women's Education in Late Quing Bejing," for the 47th Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs, September 1998, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Aiping Zhang, English, presented his paper, "Fitzgerald and Wolfe: The D(R)econstruction of the American Self in Their First Novels," at the International F. Scott Fitzgerald and Thomas Wolfe Conference, September 1998, which was sponsored by the F. Scott Fitzgerald and the Thomas Wolfe Society. The conference took place in Thomas Wolfe's hometown of Asheville, North Carolina.
