Local Authors' Book on Butte Meadows-Jonesville Now on Sale
A Small Corner of the West: Butte Meadows, Chico Meadows and Jonesville is now on sale at the AS. Bookstore and the Chico Branch of the Butte County Library. Fifteen authors, including Jim Jessee, Dorothy Hill, and Barbara Mahler wrote the text, dozens more assisted the project through the Butte Meadows/Jonesville Community Association and History Committee. One hundred thirty cabin owners contributed histories, and over 150 people shared memories on tape, in writing, or in photos. Gregg Beryman, Chris Ficken, Larry Jackson, and Jim Jessee were part of the technical side of producing the book.

International Programs is soliciting faculty applications for resident directors for international programs in the 1999-2001 academic year. The deadline for receipt in the Chancellor's Office is December 1. If you are interested, you need to submit an application immediately. Call for Nominations for Outstanding Academic Adviser
The Faculty Recognition and Support committee invites students, faculty, staff, and alumni to nominate faculty for the University's Outstanding Academic Adviser award and for national recognition. The deadline for applications is noon, Monday, November 9, 1999, in the Academic Senate Office.
