Thank You for FAD Success!

As you can see from the article on the front page, our Freshman Admissions Day was a huge success. Many of you probably do not realize how much planning goes into an event like this or how many people working together it takes to make this event happen. My deep gratitude for all the strategic planning and tactical coordination goes to the offices of Admissions, Records and Registration, and Academic Advising Services under the leadership of Vice Provost Bob Hannigan and particularly to Linda MacMichael and Wendy Needels who had key responsibilities.

Many others were also responsible for the success of the day. I thank all the faculty, staff, and students who spent long hours in preparing college and department displays and were present during the day to ensure that these visiting students and their families got a good picture of what CSU, Chico can offer them. I talked to many, many visitors who all said they thought the campus was very welcoming and beautiful and they would plan on attending CSU, Chico because of the wonderful treatment they received that day.

My thanks and deep appreciation to all who planned, coordinated, and attended Freshman Admissions Day.
