Jewish Identity in Russia


Alexander Militarev, president of the Jewish University in Moscow and professor of ethnolinguistics, will give a lecture titled “Jewish Identity in Russia” Monday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at California State University, Chico, Tehama Hall, room 115.

Militarev is an internationally known linguist. His specialties range from ethnolinguistic history, Jewish civilization and Jewish identity, comparative Semitic and Afroasiatic languages and cultures to comparative history of Biblical Hebrew. The lecture is free and open to the public.
