Educational Talent Search (ETS) sponsored its Annual Junior Writing Workshop on March 17 in the Bell Memorial Union for 85 high school students from neighboring counties.

The Junior Writing Workshop, conducted by Tom Fox, English, and his assistants, provided the high school juniors with practice and information on writing personal statements to accompany college admissions and scholarship applications. Patricia McDevitt, associate director of Admissions, provided tips on "Do's and Don't's" of university and scholarship application essays.

ETS assists economically and educationally disadvantaged students prepare for their future by helping them stay in school, graduate, and enroll in college.
