Of the nearly 375 students
participating in intercollegiate sports at CSU, Chico, 150 received
a GPA of 3.0 or better during the 2004 fall semester. More precisely,
of the 150 student-athletes that were above a 3.0, 47 were above
a 3.5, and 6 recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA. "This
is something our program is really proud of," said Anita Barker,

doing it in the classroom as well."
Master's of Social

The master's of social work program,
which was first offered in fall 2001, recently received full accreditation

students and community members to receive their MSWs, thus enhancing
the quality of social services wherever they are employed."
