“In the News” reports on faculty and staff who are featured or quoted by the media, with particular attention to media outside Chico. Ed Bronson, professor emeritus, Political Science, was featured in an Aug. 26 Redding Record Searchlight article about jury bias. Dave Daley, Agriculture, was quoted in an Aug. 5 San Diego Tribune article about sanctuaries for farm animals. Janja Lalich, Sociology, was interviewed in a June 2004 Science and Theology article about assisting ex-cult members. James Matray, chair, History, was featured in the documentary Inside North Korea broadcast on the History Channel in August. His article “Can History Help Us Understand What's Happening in Iraq?” appeared June 21 on the History News Network Web site. Sociology professor Cynthia Siemsen’s Emotional Trials: The Moral Dilemmas of Women Defense Attorneys was reviewed in the June issue of The Women’s Review of Books. |
