Recreational Sports is always looking for Chico State students to officiate their sports leagues. Opportunities exist in both the fall and spring semesters. Sports include flag football, soccer, indoor soccer, basketball, 3-on-3 basketball, and softball. Stick with one or try them all!
The pay range for sports officials is $10–$14/game. Sports officials can expect 5-20 hours of work per week (an average is 10-12) depending on availability.
Recreational Sports hires students to manage and facilitate Intramural Sport leagues and home Sport Club contests. All event supervisor positions require current certification in CPR and first aid.

Recreational Sports hires students to work during the summer hours as a counselor for Adventure Day Camp. Adventure Day Camp runs nine weeks throughout the summer for children ages 6-12. Counselors usually work 40 hours a week during these times and have the opportunity to continue working for Recreational Sports during the school year. Counselors must be first aid/CPR/AED certified and have experience working with youth. Lifeguard cerification is preferred.
