Recreational Sport Clubs at Chico State University are part of the Recreational Sports Program. Recreational Sport Clubs are organized with the purpose of allowing members to practice and learn a particular sport, and on occasion compete against others with similar interests. Recreational Sport clubs also offer the opportunity for student leadership, exercise, and social interaction. The main difference between Recreational Sport Clubs and traditional Sport Clubs are that Recreational Sport Club teams do not compete on an intercollegiate schedule and do not receive university funding.

Membership:
Individual Recreational Sport Club teams establish their own membership guidelines and dues. For the most part, experience and performance are not always important. All that is needed is the interest and willingness to participate.

Assumption of Risk:
Participation in Recreational Sport Club teams, like all Recreational Sports Programs, is at your own risk. Chico State University is not responsible for any injury that may occur to individuals engaged in Recreational Sport Club team activities.
