5.29.2007 -New data port fee & phone line increases

CSU, Chico’s Communication Services unit will begin to assess a fee for data ports beginning July, 1, 2007. The cost to Research Foundation projects will be $5.30 per month for each data port utilized. The monthly charges will be invoiced in the same manner as is currently used to bill for telephone services, e.g., via CAF.

In addition, the cost of telephone lines will increase by approximately $6.00 per month. Some of these cost increases will be offset by a reduction in long distance calls. Domestic rates will be reduced by 45% and international by 80%.

If your project will require a budget modification in order to cover the new or increased fees, please contact your analyst in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
