7.23.2007 -Fringe rates for non-benefited Foundation employees

On June 28th Karen Finley sent out an Advisory on projected benefit costs beginning July 1, 2007.
Due to the success of the Foundation’s unemployment insurance programs and a reduction in workers’ compensation rates, Sponsored Programs has begun to use the following fringe benefit percentages for non-benefited (part time) Foundation employees:
Academic Year 07/08     12%—All part time (less than 20 hours per week) non-student employees except those involved in environmental or agricultural work
Academic Year 07/08     5%—Part time employees who are undergraduate students enrolled for at least 6 units or graduate students enrolled for at least 4 units, except those involved in environmental or agricultural work
For part time employees enrolled in environmental or agricultural work, please refer to the fringe benefits chart on pages 24-25 in the Budget Guidebook which is posted on the RESP Web site.
