2.4.2009 Foundation Electronic Communication Device Policy Revised

The Research Foundation Policy on Electronic Communication Devices for Business that provides guidelines for requesting reimbursements of electronic device expenses has been revised to meet IRS requirements.

Significant changes include the following:

Phones/PDAs/Pagers
Reimbursement requests for personally owned electronic devices must be accompanied by the Cell Phone Call Log and all other information required by the policy.

Reimbursement requested for business calls made on home land lines must be accompanied by provider’s itemized statement, Home Phone Call Log and all information required by the policy.

Internet Access
Foundation will only reimburse for the cost of Internet service, required for the conduct of Foundation business, while project personnel are on travel status.

Foundation will not reimburse for the cost of home Internet service.
