June 24, 2009 PD Advisory-Year End Closing Reminders

The Foundation’s fiscal year ends Tuesday, June 30. Please turn in any 08/09 expenses (e.g., invoices/receipts for expenses, mileage, uncleared advances, petty cash, payroll, and transfer of funds form) as soon as possible so they may be captured within the 08/09 fiscal year.
Also, please prepare a separate check request for expenses that occur in June and another one for expenses that occur in July. This extra step is necessary for audit purposes so that items are properly expensed in the correct month and fiscal year. After the June books close on approximately August 1, this extra step will no longer be necessary.
