Jumpstart Spring 2013 deadline - Tuesday, March 5, 2013 - 4 p.m. 25 Main, Suite 103
Jumpstart to Submit a Federal Grant Proposal ("Jumpstart")
Approximately six-seven awards of $3,000 each to prepare a concept paper that leads to a new proposal for an identified federal agency/departmental funding program. Eligible in this competition are RFPs/calls for proposals with deadlines no later than May 31, 2013. “Jumpstart” will also be held in the spring in order to accommodate federal funding programs with either one-time or annual grant proposal due dates. Proposal preparation expenses may include either additional employment or operating expenses (e.g., technical editor/grant writer or other consultant, publication, travel, equipment, etc).
In addition, applications will be separated for review in two categories: 1) Assistant Professors only and 2) all other faculty, staff, Research Foundation employees affiliated with Centers, research units, or other project offices. Winners will be announced within about a month of applying. The selected Principal Investigators/Project Directors (PIs/PDs) will then have about 6 months to draft and submit their federal grant proposals.
