The RISE Library has over 3,000 books, maps, games, and artifacts available for check out to teacher and teacher candidates for use in their classroom and lesson-planning exercises.
Check Out Procedures:
- Materials may be checked out during our open library hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. & Fridays 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Other days/times by appointment.
- Please contact the library at least one day ahead of when you would like to check out material. Let us know what materials you are potentially interested in ahead of time, that way we can have the items laid out for you to select from. This expedites the checkout process.
- Plan for a minimum of 15 minutes for checkout. We have to document every item checked out for our records. This lets us know what is checked out and what has been returned. This also ensures the return of our materials by the due date. We want to ensure our items make it back so others can use them too!
- Standard checkout of material is 3 weeks. This time frame can be adjusted, just let us know.
- If you find you need more time with the materials you checked out, give us a call 530-898-6407 or shoot us an email at riselibrary@csuchico.edu. We'll let you know if it's available for an extension or if someone's waiting to check it out next.
