Title IX Coordinator

The Associate Vice President for Student Affairs is the designated Title IX Coordinator at California State University, Chico. Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and certain other federal and state laws prohibit discrimination in educational institutions receiving federal funds. Title IX forbids sex discrimination in all university student services and academic programs. Title IX also forbids discrimination because of gender in employment and recruitment consideration or selection, whether full time or part time under any educational program or activity operated by an institution receiving or benefiting from federal financial assistance. Areas covered under Title IX include, but are not limited to admissions, financial aid, employment, health services, counseling, recruitment consideration/selection, athletics, housing, and grading.
