A Step-by-Step Guide to Registration

Step 2: Collect Your Registration Materials

The Class Schedule

The Class Schedule is only available on the Chico Web. It includes information for both fall and spring semesters and is designed to help you plan your academic year. Go to www.csuchico.edu/schedule for the latest updated schedule information, including new classes, cancellations, and changes in class time or location.

The University Catalog

The University Catalog is a primary resource for understanding graduation requirements, current degree program requirements, and accessing course descriptions. Catalogs may be purchased at the Associated Students Bookstore or ordered by mail. If you are eligible to follow requirements from an earlier catalog, you may do so. See “Catalog Rights” in the University Catalog for more information. You can also discuss your catalog rights with your Academic Evaluator in Student Records and Registration, MLIB 180.

As a new undergraduate transfer student, you will want to obtain a Degree Progress Report (DPR) - an official summary of the graduation requirements you have met and those you still need to complete. If you attend a Summer Orientation session, you will automatically receive a copy. If you are unable to attend Summer Orientation, you are advised to attend a Mini-Orientation session through the Office of Advising and Orientation. You may receive a copy of your DPR at your Mini-Orientation session by signing up at least ten working days in advance of your visit to campus. As the DPR may not include an evaluation of the courses in which you are currently enrolled, please bring a current unofficial transcript with you to your advising session.

If you have initialized your Portal account, you may access your Degree Progress Report online. Find it at the "Records, Registration & Finances" tab and select "View My Degree Progress Report".
